Software Spotlight: OneNote

One of the best online collaborative tools available to college students is Microsoft OneNote. This digital note taking software is available free of charge to all UL students. When using the software, users are able to create documents and share them via notebooks with whomever they choose. Once the notebook is shared, individuals can add or change anything in the document. The space is great for writing, saving files, and placing pictures to be shared with everyone in the notebook. Practically everyone has used Microsoft Word, so imagine OneNote as a Microsoft Word document that can be edited by many different people at the same time. Collaborating isn’t the only great thing about OneNote, it’s also great for note-taking. You can type anything in your own private notebook. Once installed, students can access the notebooks virtually anywhere using the OneNote application. The software helps you organize your notes and can be divided into different tabs and pages. If you haven’t tried OneNote already, it is a great tool available to you that can make group projects and note taking much easier.
